Of all the Ottoman heritage, the most famous examples are undoubtedly the monumental imperial mosques in Istanbul's Fatih district, such as the Blue Mosque, the Şehzade Mosque and the Süleymaniye Mosque. Yet, imperial mosques are spread across the city, including the Yeni Valide Mosque which, together with the Mihrimah Sultan Mosque, greets visitors upon arrival in Üsküdar.
